Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin Photograph Tonne Goodman for Industrie Magazine (Forum Buzz)

A regular fixture behind our favorite fashion pictures and now she’s upfront and center as Industrie‘s latest cover subject, Vogue‘s Tonne Goodman is photographed by Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin for issue seven, which is now available on select newsstands. The American stylist, who has worked for the likes of Diana Vreeland, Richard Avedon and Liz Tilberis, is seen in a classic black and white portrait wearing a black ensemble, which she described in The September Issue as part of her daily uniform.

Members of our forums are ecstatic over the new cover. “Tonne deserves some serious recognition. I’m glad! Ironically she’s an American in a British ruled American Magazine. (Anna, Grace, Camilla, Hamish). It will be interesting to see what she says. DEFINITELY buying this,” commented Kite.

“I love Tonne so I’ll be interested to read this interview, esp. as she often takes a back seat to Grace Coddington, public image wise. She looks rather Philo-esque on this cover but it’s a decent portrait by I&V,” enthused Fiercification.

Forum member kikifoz shared his sentiments: “There’s something very reptilian like about her face in this photo. I quite like how unusual it is. TBH, I find her much more engaging in interviews and in articles, than her counterparts. She’s warm, genuine and talented.”

“I love the heading ‘Miss America’… I’m also looking forward to that interview,” echoed an optimistic arlekindearrabal.
