Adele was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the March issue of Vogue, and thankfully the resulting image is more than just the typical beauty shot that magazines tend to display when faced with cover subjects who don’t fit into the usual sample sizes. Most forum members were excited to see the vocal powerhouse on the cover of one of Vogue’s biggest and most anticipated issues of the year.
Northern Star felt that Adele was the perfect choice for Vogue’s Power Issue. “Adele is one of the most recognizable faces (and voices) in the world right now, and her domination continues and rightly so,” he noted. “She has a beautiful face and that resonates here, and hell, when was the last time a pair of breasts like that appeared on a major magazine cover?” he asked.
Clo was very pleased with the cover shot. “I just love this cover!” she exclaimed. “Adele looks stunning and I'm glad they decided not to show just her face. She embodies power, so she is perfect for the Power Issue.”
Tigerrouge would have liked Vogue to push Adele’s look a bit further for the cover shot. “Adele's a beautiful girl and I'm glad to see her on the cover,” she wrote, “but I would have liked to see something more inventive than Vogue sticking her in a black dress with her chest out; it seems a rather uninspired approach to dressing her shape.”
In addition to Adele, this issue of Vogue contains more than ten fashion features, so it should be well worth the purchase.
