Lindsey Wixson Looks ‘Cute’ on Vogue Ukraine’s May Cover (Forum Buzz)

TheFashionSpot forum members had a lot to say about this cover. Some, like MulletProof, didn’t like the hair and model choice (“I’m all for baby-faced models and Lindsey’s certainly had her moments, but that hair is only making things worse here… she looks like one of those odd 9-year-old girls that were allowed to overpluck their eyebrows before their time.”) Others were disappointed that this lacked the weirdness of Jeff Bark’s usual work (“I was hoping for something wonderfully weird when I saw that Jeff Bark had shot this, but it just looks like a standard cover. Nothing wrong with that, but hopefully the editorial will bring forth that strange and beautiful feel only Jeff can bring,” commented Luxx.)

TeeVanity posted, “This is a very cute cover, Lindsey looks adorable.”

But ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’ does not go down well with all tFS members in this instance. It didn’t go unnoticed with some members that a cover like this coming from a country that is currently going through major political struggles may seem inappropriate.

“Could Vogue Ukraine be the first edition to publish during a civil war?? It just seems odd to me to see the new covers come out with so much more going on in their country. Life must go on I suppose,” noted A.D.C.

To which MyNameIs added, “I wasn’t going to mention anything, but since you brought it up. I was thinking something along those lines. They don’t even seem to acknowledge the reality there right now. I was wondering whether they’d go for a somber cover this month, but nope. Seems somehow inappropriate, no? I understand life must go on and all that, but you can’t remove yourself completely from the reality.”
