Grostina’s just starting out, but she’s already built herself quite a following on social media, which has become a crucial tool for models to gain notoriety. A quick browse-through shows that Grostina, who goes by highhsoul, is actually pretty darn good with an iPhone 5s. From backstage face boards to arresting images of landscapes (homegirl visits lots of beautiful places), it’s clear that Ms. Grostina, now over 207,000 followers strong, is one to watch.
Our forum members, who have been carefully tracking her, were delighted to see Grostina on the runway for J.W.Anderson, Giles and yesterday, Prada. “Good start for her,” la.vie.in.mode wrote. “I see a Lara Mullen appeal.”
She’s garnering quite a following in addition to photos as her Tumblr is full of questions and answers from her fans — she even lends a little love advice to one person claiming to have a “school crush” on a bisexual friend. “See if it goes away, but if it’s not a ‘school crush,’ then you should go for it, otherwise you’re just torturing yourself.” Wise words. Grostina also covers such hot-button fashion topics like the ubiquity of Kendall Jenner, whom she has NOT seen during Milan Fashion Week, though she admits that she would love to meet the reality star turned model. “It would be cool to meet her and see what kind of a person she is in real life,” Grostina wrote.
