Flashback: Vogue Paris April 2007 with Lara Stone by Terry Richardson

The cover in itself is a forgotten favorite. Lara Stone has fronted a handful of Vogue Paris issues and this always escapes from memory. The Dutch beauty was shot by Terry Richardson and styled by Carine Roitfeld wearing a top from Chloe teamed with a pair of shorts from American Apparel. This was one of the many shoots that started the Lara/Roitfeld love affair and it would certainly not be the last collaboration the two fashion industry icons would have together.

Oddly enough, Lara doesn’t have an accompanying cover story. Although there’s plenty of content for everyone’s taste. Inside, we find stories from the likes of Mikael Jansson, David Sims, Mario Sorrenti and Craig McDean. We are treated to appearances from models, such as Malgosia Bela, Suvi Koponen, Iselin Steiro, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini and Missy Rayder.

A story entitled “Chrono-Lagons,” photographed by Jansson, is the standout story from the 298-page issue. Jansson captured American model Missy under the summer sun nude, while hanging from the side of a boat wearing a range of expensive watches. Do you remember the edit we’re talking about? Summer fashion and nudity at their finest.
