Christmas is coming and Vogue Russia delivers a cover full of wintry vibes with its December issue. The magazine tapped Natalia Vodianova to grace its latest installment and enlisted Paolo Roversi to capture the Russian beauty wearing a dreamy design from Christian Dior’s Fall 2014 Haute Couture collection. The long-term face of Guerlain cosmetics currently fronts the November issue of American Vogue, nabbed the cover of Vogue Paris’ September edition and now satisfies a select few of our forum members on Vogue Russia.
Forum member la veronika couldn’t wait to express her excitement inside the thread: “Incredible!! She looks stunning, happy to see her grace another Vogue!”
“Gorgeous, she is bringing it,” echoed Miss Dalloway.
GlamorousBoy was also a fan and posted that he thought it’s a “beautiful festive cover.”
Although the rest of us dramatically disagree. “I love Natalia but she does look a bit creepy. They could have gone with a much fresher, edgier take on her,” proclaimed an unimpressed Nepenthes.
“She looks so creepy. It’s weird, but all of her recent work has been really lackluster. It’s like she’s not even trying,” wrote an underwhelmed orchidee.
“Her facial expression is odd and uncomfortable. I used to love seeing Natalia but her work has been pretty lackluster lately. At least the dress is nice,” added lamies022.
The word “creepy” came up a lot inside the thread. “I don’t like this! She looks creepy. Part Stepford wife and part scary doll who’ll kill you as you sleep!” posted Clipse in agreement.
