Oscar de la Renta’s first advertising campaign since the designer’s tragic passing has been released. The images pay homage to the aesthetics he embodied and we couldn’t be happier. Models Daria Strokous and Sasha Luss star in the Spring 2015 fashion spots photographed by Steve Hiett, replacing Norman Jean Roy who shot last season‘s campaign. This time around, the concept is switched up a notch with the two Russian beauties captured on location in Miami, wandering around the luscious landscaped gardens of Villa Vizcaya. Styled by Natasha Royt, the girls showcase some of ODLR’s most desirable pieces from the collection, including fabulous floor-length, pastel-colored gowns.
Forum members continued to voice their opinions inside the thread after the campaign surfaced earlier this week. “Best campaign in a long time for ODLR imo. I like Steve’s photography, the angles, saturation and the setting makes for interesting imagery. Daria and Sasha look great, very complementary,” enthused kokobombon, kicking us off on a high note.
“Very nice surprise! Love the contrast between the clothes and the setting,” added a pleasantly surprised justaguy.
Also a fan of the campaign was Nepenthes: “It’s very fresh and the girls look gorgeous!” We agree!
Benn98 shared the same sentiments and commented, “I like the lighting and the motion shots are undoubtedly the best. The focus is on the clothes and not the girls. I like that.”
The thread was full of positivity! “Love good good good! They look amazing and the angles are great,” Emmanuelle approved.
