Magazines continue to serve their summer offerings and Harper’s Bazaar Spain is one of the latest to drop. The magazine enlisted Hans Feurer to photograph the front cover of the June 2015 installment and the result is less than impressive, which is disappointing considering Feurer’s rich history of fashion photography. Karolina Kurkova graces the cover, sporting a skimpy swimsuit and channeling a workout instructor from decades ago. Yay or nay?
Forum members have voted for a huge nay and continue to express their horror. “Very 80s but in a bad way,” disapproved Kobito.
“The layout makes it look like an inner-cover or supplement. 80s in a bad way indeed, I blame the awful hair,” kokobombon replied.
In agreement over the styling of Kurkova’s hair was fashionlover2001: “That hair…!! Ugh so disgusting.” Ouch.
Also in a state of shock was Bertrando3. “The layout looks very amateur, Karolina looks bad with that awful hair and makeup, the pose is catalog, the clothing is horrendous, this cover is so bad, it´s not even funny, I would give this a 02/10,” he declared.
“Have to agree with you. I’m usually mad about Feurer’s throwback style, but this is just awful. It’s mainly the hair and the layout. She indeed looks like an 80s fitness instructor. The layout is just as bad,” responded Benn98.
Emmanuelle wasn’t feeling it either and wrote, “I can’t help but focus on her hair. It really doesn’t suit at all.”
“Why they do my KK like that?” questioned nataliaapple in disbelief.
