Ever since Alessandro Michele took the helm of Gucci, we’ve witnessed his aesthetic take effect within months of his debut of the Fall 2015 mainline campaign. With the unveiling of Gucci’s latest fragrance campaign, however, we see signs of Frida Giannini‘s sexy, mysterious and sensual Gucci women. Gal Gadot was tapped for Gucci’s newest scent entitled Bamboo. The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actress got the Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott treatment and appears as sultry as ever before their lens, making for a captivating image.
Surprisingly, our forum members weren’t feeling it. “Gal Gadot for Gucci? What’s happening in this world?” asked la veronika right away, about to set the tone of the thread.
“Odd model choice. Wonder Woman, isn’t it? The image looks very stylish and faultless. My one-track mind was hoping for something more tropical and serene, maybe a similar setting to Angelina Jolie’s Louis Vuitton campaign in Cambodia,” noted Benn98.
RedSmokeRise was a little lost for words too, writing, “Honestly this is so random.”
In agreement was MyNameIs: “Very unremarkable. If this were just a random shot in an editorial, it would be fine. But a perfume ad for Gucci? Yeah, no.”
“Her face looks weird. I wish to see anybody else in this campaign,” added a disappointed narcyza.
