Teen Vogue has been giving us plenty of model covers lately and you won’t find us complaining. Back in August, our forums fell completely head over heels for the issue with beauties Aya Jones, Imaan Hammam and Lineisy Montero on the front. Continuing to challenge and deliver diversity, Teen Vogue welcomes Fernanda Ly as its December/January cover star. The Louis Vuitton campaign star with an ever-growing portfolio was shot by Daniel Jackson and stuns in a sweater by the French fashion house in the eye-catching cover image.
Members of our forums were in awe. “I actually really enjoy the cover and editorial. Teen Vogue is so often flat and dull, but between this cover and that stellar cover with Aya, Imaan, and Lineisy, I’m starting to see a change for the better,” applauded Moofins.
“I love the image, very fresh and modern. It’s great that they’re giving the opportunity to a not-so-known model,” contributed kokobombon.
Also full of enthusiasm toward the cover was arlekindearrabal: “I love Fernanda, it was about time for her to get a decent cover!”
Echoing the same sentiments was ash92, raving, “I think it’s a fun cover; very youthful and very current. And the fact that it’s an Asian on the cover of a mainstream American magazine, even if it’s just Teen Vogue, makes me really happy.”
MON agreed, adding, “Is this their first Asian cover? I love it! Absolutely love it! Glamour is back in Teen Vogue! Stunning. I love how they risked putting an unknown model on an issue that will be out for almost two months rather than a mainstream celeb.”
“Oh wow, incredible,” simply declared TeeVanity.
