Let’s face it, the December issues didn’t exactly live up to our expectations, so can January compensate? Apparently not, at least so far. Marie Claire‘s latest offering was unveiled earlier this week and the publication has jumped on the multi-cover bandwagon, serving us three covers to choose from at the newsstand. Marie Claire commences 2016 by tapping Lily James, Bella Heathcote and Suki Waterhouse for January, each shot by Simon Emmett. Which cover is our favorite?
“I admire the effort but these covers are all over the place! Lily’s pose hurts my neck. Bella’s makeup is too much. Suki’s pose.. need I say more. I wish there was some consistency in the overall feel of the covers! If one is cropped this way, so should the rest! I hate it when multi-covers are too disconnected from each other,” disapproved MON immediately.
“Suki can’t make a good cover… I don’t understand why they are pushing her so hard. I don’t know the two others, are they really the next big things?” asked an uncertain Aizanara.
RanThe soon enlightened us: “They are all the leads in the new movie coming out Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which looks pretty good. I’m over these multi-covers, though. It would have been nice to see all three together. Other than that Marie Claire is very hit or miss as of late.”
Also underwhelmed was KateTheGreatest, simply adding, “Boring, more boring, the most boring.”
“I can admire their effort, Lily James is indeed the ‘next big thing’, maybe even the new Keira [Knightley], but the other two? Bella’s yet to make an impression on me, right now she’s just a pretty girl. Interesting how there’s two Brits and one Aussie. Where are the American girls?” Benn98 pointed out.
“Ironically, Suki’s the one who’s famously known as a model and yet her cover, the pose and everything else is the worst compared to the other two,” slammed fluxxx.
Oh, dear. Better luck next month Marie Claire. Share your own opinion of the covers here.
