Vogue Japan‘s 200th issue cover failed to bring anything new to the table with a less than impressive appearance from Edie Campbell. That’s all about to change, however, as Natasha Poly serves up “the new sexy” on the recently released May 2016 cover. Yes, as promptly as ever, Japanese Vogue has unveiled its upcoming issue and finally the magazine is in our good graces. Shot by photographic duo Luigi & Iango complete with styling from Anna Dello Russo, Natasha looks phenomenal in a silk and lace Celine number as she plays with her perfectly styled bedhead hair.
Members of our forums were in the mood for some Natasha. “Gorgeous! Love that she has a ‘tough’ face expression here,” Miss Dalloway applauded the moment the cover dropped.
“Ooh I like this. It’s nice to see some attitude back in this rather stale magazine. And I love how the colors were chosen to make her stand out,” acknowledged a rather impressed MON.
Also a fan of the cover was Scotty, adding, “This is great, go Natasha! And I actually prefer her eyebrows bleached, kind of makes her look younger.”
“She looks like a bada$$ here, love it!” raved justaguy.
Forum member gazebo showed great enthusiasm, too, declaring, “Woow! Best Vogue Japan cover in forever.”
But the cover didn’t appeal to everyone. “Eek!! No thanks, the messy layout ruins a shot of a girl with already messy hair. Who designed the dress? It looks really cheap,” Benn98 complained.
“No thanks. Bad pose, bad hair, bad layout. Next!” demanded an uninterested djowodjo30.
“This looks so 2000s IMO and the text overload doesn’t help,” disapproved kokobombon.
