Town & Country is not usually a magazine that takes our fancy but with a cover star like Carolyn Murphy, we’re more than happy to take a look. The models of the 90s are most definitely having a moment on newsstands worldwide lately with Amber Valletta taking to the cover of Condé Nast Traveler and Cindy Crawford currently fronting Vogue Paris. Our forums now welcome Carolyn with open arms on Town & Country‘s May 2016 offering as she soaks a heavily embellished outfit by Prada in the pool while gazing down the lens of controversial photographer Terry Richardson.
“All that text, yikes. And always overexposed lighting with Terry, not for me, it’s passé! Why is Terry still used, give him a wide berth please,” instantly complained Nymphaea.
In agreement over the harsh lighting was Benn98, echoing, “Yikes, the lighting is blindingly awful! Guess it’s official, Terry is forgiven. I’m much more interested to read Carolyn’s interview…”
Forum member blueorchid wasn’t exactly surprised. “Well, it’s Town & Country. Did you REALLY expect anything better?” she asked.
“Horrible, she looks like she’s trying to contain a nervous breakdown. Although that would be my expression too if Terry Richardson was in front of me,” condemned an uninterested Wintergreen.
Also disappointed with both Richardson’s presence and the outcome was KissMiss: “This is unfortunately bad which seems to be such an impossible result when Carolyn is involved but I guess nothing is impossible when Terry is involved.”
“The cover is very bad. One of the worst…” declared burbuja8910.
