We’ve yet to see a magazine cover that adequately captures Emilia Clarke‘s beauty and our forums forever rant that the actress just doesn’t photograph well. She recently became affiliated with Christian Dior and the campaign for the iconic French fashion house’s new jewelry line, but the ads failed to make an impression on our feisty forum members. Now a few months later, the Game of Thrones star takes to the cover of Glamour for May 2016, following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lawrence. Photographed by Steven Pan, Emilia wears a dress from Gucci as she poses with her hand on her hip, ultimately failing to impress once again.
Members of our forums did not hold back. “Oh my, this looks awkward. She’s a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, but that expression does her beauty no justice,” stated MON straight away.
Sharing the same attitude was Miss Dalloway: “I second that, you see them in motion and they not only have a gasp-worthy beauty, but a true spark, and great energy that is NEVER captured in print. I am yet to see a cover with Kerry or Emilia blow me away!”
Benn98 wasn’t buying it, either. “Oh my, it does look awkward. The hand on the hip doesn’t scream confidence, not with that smirk,” he discredited.
“This girl is so incredibly beautiful but yes, it is never quite captured right photographically. I think her face looks beautiful here, it’s a shame the pose and the rest of the shot don’t live up to that,” echoed honeycombchild.
“I like her but that’s it. Styling and expression/pose are awful IMO,” kokobombon chanted in agreement.
