Vogue Brazil continues to put itself on the map with popular cover subjects like Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid and Naomi Campbell. For its latest offering, the title has secured yet another high-profile cover star. Already on the cover of Marie Claire, Selena Gomez poses alongside designer Nicolas Ghesquière for June 2016, both making for an unexpected choice. Shot by Bruce Weber, Selena wears Louis Vuitton (natch) on two different covers, both of which are currently being deliberated on by our forum members.
“It’s just weird to see Selena wearing clothes by Ghesquière. Such an odd mix. It doesn’t get any more prefabricated than this ‘muse/creator’ relationship..” ranted Creative the second the covers came to light.
“It’s so weird to me to see these two together. Selena looks cute and all but Nicolas steals the show. The man is goooooorgeous!” added pivoslyakova.
Lola701 shared the same sentiments, writing, “Nicolas looks good as usual. Selena looks good also but their relationship is so weird. It’s like Jennifer Lawrence and Raf Simons. Today, every celebrity loves fashion. I mean, fashion saved a lot of failed careers.”
Also quick to add their own two cents was guimon: “Nicolas is incredibly handsome and Selena looks effortless stunning next to him. It’s so simple, but they both look so good. I prefer their cover. Selena’s solo cover is weak, IMO. She doesn’t look good.”
“I love these covers even when I feel that I shouldn’t. Selena looks beautiful but I prefer the shot with Nicholas, who is smoking hot,” confessed marsnoop2.
Anlabe32 just plain and simply wasn’t having it. “That girl is so bland and commercial looking. Plus, she still looks twelve. Totally not appropriate for Vogue let alone Louis Vuitton,” she complained.
