After several seasons with Gisele Bündchen in the mix, Stuart Weitzman decided to switch things up last season by enlisting beauties Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Lily Aldridge for Spring 2016. Now, as the Fall 2016 campaigns continue to surface, Gigi appears solo as the face of the high-end footwear label. Mario Testino also makes a return as Wetizman’s photographer of choice (his 10th consecutive campaign for the brand). For Weitzman’s signature black and white adverts, Gigi strikes dynamic poses, which were inspired by her own workout routine.
“No Joan this season? Great shot though, and happy for Gigi!” praised forum member happycanadian the moment the campaign dropped.
“Love, love, love this shot. So much energy and the styling looks good. She’s much better when the focus isn’t on her sex-doll face,” commended Benn98.
In agreement over how terrific the campaign turned out was MON, declaring, “I love this!”
Early days for our thread to generate some major buzz, but it appears as though the campaign won’t be suited to everyone’s taste. “Her body looks great and strong but her face is completely off… She should take lessons [from] the likes of Natasha [Poly] and Anja [Rubik] on the art of open mouth pose. It looks really awkward here,” pointed out Wolkfolk.
