Tommy Hilfiger sure has been plugging its relationship with Gigi Hadid over recent months, making it pretty clear via various social media platforms that she’s the face of new fragrance The Girl. The print campaign and accompanying commercial has finally dropped and is here for us to deliberate over. Staying true to the Hilfiger label, Gigi took part in a fun yet gimmicky nautical-inspired shoot, oozing confidence and charm throughout. Photographed by Mikael Jansson, the 21-year-old looks every inch the supermodel.
Leave it up to our forum members to tell it like it is. “She’s reminding me of Karlie [Kloss] more and more each day. I think it’s her facial expressions? Can’t quite put my finger on it. The slight smile with one eyebrow raised is exactly what Kloss would do,” pointed out littlekiki immediately.
“Karlie, is that you?” asked GreyVetiver sharing the same sentiments.
“She seems like an appropriate, natural choice for this brand. The campaign itself looks uninspired, but it’ll probably be effective. It’s on-brand,” reasoned
Benn98 felt the same way, echoing, “It’s actually quite an OK shot, I’d have preferred it outdoors on a boat, but it’s still very Hilfiger!”
“I like the image but the ropes seem so fake, and the bottle placement is distracting IMO,” said a disapproving kokobombon.
“Waiting for her time to be over…. sooo sick of her face!” cried out madzedre.
