Anja Rubik Is Unrecognizable as the Face of Michael Kors Resort 2017 (Forum Buzz)

Michael Kors sure does have a thing for blondes, with the likes of Sasha Pivovarova and Natasha Poly being cast as faces for the brand lately. Now it’s Anja Rubik’s turn as she lends her beauty to Michael Kors’ recently-unveiled advertising campaign for Resort 2017. Still insisting on showing us how the other half live, Anja is shot sitting very comfortably in the back of a luxurious boat with photographer Mario Testino at hand to capture the idyllic moment.

Our forum members made their opinions toward the campaign clear. “Same old, same old but I like the model choices: Natasha, Sasha now Anja,” approved kokobombon the moment the campaign dropped.

“It looks like we’ll just have to make peace with it, this formula will never change. Apparently it sells in America? Not sure if it’s just me, but the images are getting more tolerable. It’s effective in the way that it makes his clothes look vaguely interesting,” Benn98 chimed in.

Tigerrogue wasn’t feeling the images either, replying, “I used to like his campaigns. Yes, they were always using the same Hollywood story lines, like a marketing promotion lifted from the pages of Vanity Fair, but at least they had a sense of casually expensive glamour. But now, to me, this mostly looks like stuff I’d expect to see in TK Maxx or an outlet store.”

“That’s Anja?” asked dodencebt, suggesting too much post-production has occurred.

“That’s probably the least flattering photo of her I’ve seen in a long time. The Kors and Testino train wreck continues!” mocked an underwhelmed RedSmokeRise.

Zposen later pointed out, “Her face looks really off.”

Also unable to recognize Anja upon first glance was kenndale: “I can’t believe that’s Anja, but I really like the atmosphere and outfit.”
