She’s the current face of Roberto Cavalli, just appeared on the cover of Vogue Turkey and shot with Mert and Marcus for Replay, now Stella Maxwell follows in the footsteps of Christy Turlington on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Spain. Looking incredibly chic in an elegant black Chanel jacket, Stella was photographed by Thomas Whiteside for the clean, effortless April 2017 cover story.
The outcome left the majority of our forum members pleasantly surprised. “She’s really growing on me. She looks gorgeous here,” confessed lightblue.
“Actually a really nice cover from Stella,” admitted 333101 in agreement.
Also an admirer was vogue28: “Really do like the outcome of this actually, love the simplicity of the shot, the Chanel jacket and the fact it’s way better than Christy Turlington last month. While I don’t know much about Stella Maxwell or her work, she looks better here than she does on Vogue Turkey’s latest.”
“Simple and chic! Stella looks natural and glowing. Still, Harper’s Bazaar Spain’s covers always feel slightly empty to me,” pointed out magsaddict.
Bertrando3 felt the same. “Because they are indeed empty! They don’t know how to do it and choose a right image for a cover. I don’t know who this girl is but the pose and the whole thing looks very passé. NEXT!” he screamed in response.
Benn98 couldn’t have agreed more: “Hard to believe this is the same Whiteside whose work I adored month after month at US InStyle. There’s nothing so bad about it, it’s just a studio shot once again. But can we get some variety?”
“I usually like Stella, but not digging this one at all. Her face looks off,” critiqued a disapproving Simera.
