Victoria Beckham Models Her Target Collection on the Cover of UK ELLE for May

After gaining our forum’s approval with a stunning Damaris Goddrie cover last month, the British edition of ELLE is going through a transition period, having secured a brand new Editor-in-Chief this week. Victoria Beckham, a typically reliable cover star, fronts the May 2017 issue, following a somewhat awkward stint on last month’s InStyle. Photographed by Kelly Hallihan, Beckham wears her highly anticipated collaboration with Target in both the newsstand cover (below) and the limited one for subscribers (after the jump).

Our forum members were surprised by the outcome — and not in a good way. “This looks bad. Not her best cover,” pointed out MON within seconds of the cover reveal.

“Her face is so bloated! It was either shot very early in the morning or she’s got too much botox,” added Srdjan.

“I wish she didn’t tilt her head that much, it’s literally The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Not her most flattering self, I’m afraid. Also, ‘The secret life of Victoria Beckham’? What is this, Hello! magazine?” quizzed a dumbfounded dodencebt.

KateTheGreatest fwas surprised by how much she disliked the outcome, saying, “What an awful cover.”

“I much prefer the subscribers cover and the editorial, in fact, I like it a lot. I absolutely hate the newsstand cover however, I think she looks rather awful? What have they done to her!” voiced a startled honeycombchild.

Yet not everyone disliked what they saw. “I don’t think I have ever seen VB on a cover of a magazine looking this casual! Not just the styling, but her hair, and makeup too! It’s refreshing, and I love her face, and eyes here. It seems this new direction at UK ELLE is doing celebs and models in more relaxed mode, and it works,” Miss Dalloway commented.
