Kendall Jenner Returns for La Perla’s New Ad Campaign for Pre-Fall 2017

She was the face of La Perla’s ad campaign last season, wore La Perla to this year’s Met Gala and donned a silk romper by the label on the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar, so it’s hardly a surprise to see Kendall Jenner return for the Italian lingerie brand’s new campaign for Fall 2017. Kendall was shot by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for the colorful new ads, which quickly became the topic of conversation on our forums.

Our forum members just couldn’t contain their despair. “New level of cheap,” declared dontbeadrag the minute the campaign images came to light.

“I just feel bad for these campaigns because they feel like such a waste! imagine if this was Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, or Anais Mali,” sighed xoxoadore in disbelief.

“The only reason they cast her: free publicity!” ranted DutchHomme.

Also not a fan of Kendall’s modeling prowess was SpeakThatJDunn: “Ewwwww. OMG, there is something so wrong about this. She looks like an underage girl being told to be sexy. It doesn’t work. Makes me so uncomfortable.”

“This outfit is already ugly and her ‘model skills’ are not helping AT ALL!” whitewine82 voiced in horror.

“All I see is a wax model,” mocked Nymphaea, hinting some major Photoshopping had occurred post-production.

Benn98 wasn’t much of a fan either, writing, “It’s so annoying to see how M&M seems to take La Perla further and further away from their core with their last two campaigns! The bright colors and juvenile styling make it look like a glorified Teen Vogue story.”
