Cara Delevingne Gives Major Attitude on Glamour’s August Cover

Whenever a mainstream fashion magazine features a model on the cover, our forums are (usually) thrilled. Last month, Glamour turned to model Ashley Graham and now, model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne fronts its August 2017 issue. Cara gives plenty of attitude in the Patrick Demarchelier-lensed cover photo, flexing her arms and clenching her fists while wearing new season Prada.

But a handful of our forum members weren’t impressed. “Feel like the concept was made with Katy Perry in mind, but they went with Cara last minute. The layout is hideous. HIDEOUS,” described a disgruntled MON the moment the cover dropped.

“I always like Cara but this cover is just a mess,” shared a far from impressed narcyza.

Seventeen much? The smirk looks annoying, but it works for Cara. It’s very her. Wished they’d get rid of that awful art direction. Funny how InStyle seems to morph into what Glamour was before,” pointed out Benn98.

Also quick to point out Glamour‘s choice in art direction was tigerrouge. “I hate ‘high school’ covers that look like people doodling on their pencil cases,” she described.

“Not loving it,” Urban Stylin confessed.

But not everyone was let down by the cover, with forum member TeeVanity simply saying, “I like it!”

Vogue28 was in the same boat, commenting, “Must admit that I’ve never been Cara’s biggest cheerleader but I don’t mind the sight of this, and think Glamour‘s new graffiti-esque art direction works perfectly with this cover.”
