You have to applaud the major fashion brands who take a risk on a new campaign concept from time to time. Moving on from photographer Peter Lindbergh and model Lily Aldridge, Salvatore Ferragamo just unveiled a playful new aesthetic for Fall 2017 shot by Walter Pfeiffer. The Swiss photographer captures models Xiao Wen Ju and Aymeline Valade amongst some stylish surroundings for a set of colorful images styled by former Vogue Paris fashion director Suzanne Koller.
Our forum members applauded Ferragamo’s newest campaign. “Love the casting, curious to see more,” voiced a delighted apple upon seeing the first of the campaign images.
“More please!! This is surprisingly good, not what I expected from Ferragamo. Love the composition and Pfeiffer’s play with color,” applauded Benn98.
“Really unexpected aesthetic, and I’m definitely intrigued,” shared tjasmine.
Also left pleasantly surprised was narcyza,: “It’s the best campaign so far. Great cast. Love to see Aymeline again!”
Thatsfierce also approved of Ferragamo’s choice of models. “Yes to the cast!!! It feels very fun and cool. I love it,” he said.
“I love everything about it!” admitted forum member liberty33r1b.
“Looks like a Nordstrom advertorial. Not exactly something I want to see from Ferragamo,” complained GivenchyHomme, not sharing the same positive attitude as everyone else.
“It also reminded me of a Nordstrom/Barneys campaign but in the best way. A very well done job!” echoed VogueDisciple93.
