Last month, the British edition of Harper’s Bazaar gave us the festive cover we craved featuring Carey Mulligan. Moving on to February 2018, Bazaar jumps from one blonde actress to another, selecting Michelle Williams as its latest cover girl. For the special cover for subscribers (below), photographed by Agata Pospieszynska, Michelle looks melancholy and demure wearing an embroidered cotton, metal and feather dress from Louis Vuitton. On the newsstand cover (after the jump), the Louis Vuitton brand ambassador dons a detailed jacket by the iconic French fashion label.
According to our forum members, the magazine continues its winning streak with the latest issue. “That is gorgeous. UK Harper’s Bazaar continues to run circles around its American sister,” complimented dodencebt.
“Very elegant, nice work,” commended carolisque.
“Beautiful! Every time I start getting tired of her short hair, I see a delicate shot like this and it just looks so perfect,” SallyAlbright enthused.
Sharing the same enthusiasm was forum member TheVeed, declaring the covers “gorgeous and classic!”
“What a gorgeous shot of Michelle! It’s not cover-worthy, or can at least do with some cropping, but she looks breathtaking here,” pointed out Benn98.
Though not everyone was here for it. “I really like the first cover but she’s extremely dull and boring, both on screen and paper, so I’m not exactly excited about this,” critiqued mistress_f.
“Much preferred last month’s cover with Carey Mulligan and find Michelle Williams just dreadfully dull. This isn’t doing it for me,” vogue28 echoed.
