Sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid Pose Nude Together and Battle It Out for Best Cover on UK Vogue’s March Issue

We half-expected to see Naomi Campbell take the cover of UK Vogue‘s March issue after a tidbit in our Cover Rumor Thread (and largely because Edward Enninful promised us more diversity and Naomi’s last cover was in 2002). Instead, making a return exactly twelve months after her last appearance, Gigi Hadid is the British fashion bible’s cover girl for March 2018 and she’s joined by sister Bella on a set of dual covers. Thankfully, photographer Steven Meisel was welcomed back to capture the shoot, with the sisters each wearing the same wet hairstyle and gold mesh Versace dress on individual covers, styled by Joe McKenna. Inside the issue, the two pose together in a nude embrace (after the jump).

Our forum members weighed in on whose cover came out on top. “I can’t say I’m interested in either, but Gigi’s is definitely better for me. There’s something about the hair placement and the off-center cropping that makes Bella’s seem out for me. Either way, they’re both blah,” critiqued honeycombchild the moment the covers dropped.

“I am going to pick Gigi’s cover even though she looks nothing like herself. Bella is doing the exact same face she did for her last Max Mara campaign,” mentioned Zposen.

“They are both fine covers, but I certainly prefer Gigi’s. The layout really works with those images,” said Miss Dalloway.

Also quick to show Gigi some love was Lola701: “Gigi with Meisel is always a winning pair. She looks like a vintage model and her face is full of life. I wonder if Bella has done something to her face. Such a creepy look!”

Everyone else had some major questions for Mr. Enninful. “So diverse…” mocked 8eight.

“Yes, ‘a new, diverse era which will reflect modern Britain’… with two overrated American Instamodels,” replied Benn98.

“Edward Enninful is a true disappointment,” declared simon.

GivenchyHomme shared the same sentiments. “What a disappointment. First Taylor [Swift], then that whole W Magazine reprint fiasco, and now this? Does he have any dignity left? This choice is such a sellout. I wonder how sales are doing. I can’t imagine them being very high,” he said.
