You could say we’ve become a little obsessed with Tatler in recent months and it’s all thanks to Richard Dennen who took over the British fashion, lifestyle and society title last year. Dennen has revitalized the magazine by gifting us covers featuring Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova and Sofia Richie and made Joan Collins a cover girl at 85. He’s now adding Anne Hathaway to his roster of cover girls as the actress graces the June 2019 edition. Photographed by Jack Waterlot and styled by Sophie Pera, the Oscar winner took to the rooftop of The Mark Hotel in New York for the cover shot, dripping in diamonds and a sequined Giorgio Armani gown.
Something seemed WAY off to our forum members, however. “What’s going on with her face?” asked caioherrero.
“The tip of her nose looks very different. Maybe it’s just too much Photoshop. It could’ve been good, but it looks lifeless and cold as it is with all the editing,” commented Morgane07.
“Too much Photoshop. Those lips and nose belong to a cat not to a human being,” called out Perickles.

“Tatler‘s retoucher went crazy on the Joan Collins cover and shows no sign of stopping here, either,” tigerrouge pointed out.
In the same frame of mind was RMDV: “Poor Anne, she’s so beautiful and they destroyed her face with that makeup and retouching.”
Also not letting it rest was forum member Bertrando3, voicing, “She’s been Photoshopped to death… I’m sure the image was very nice in the first place. WHY did they do that???”
“Oh my god, what an abomination,” scoffed a disapproving SLFC.
