It’s official: Cardi B is the fashion industry’s new obsession. And that obsession is only growing stronger. Having landed the covers of ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue within a very short space of time, the American rapper just bagged herself an advertising campaign for a major fashion house. Cardi is the new face of Balenciaga for Fall 2020 looking perfectly at ease in the just-released image (shot and styled by Cardi’s team on location in Los Angeles) showcasing the star decked out in a dress from the brand’s Fall 2020 collection surrounded by kids’ toys and a Balenciaga Neo Classic bag.
The campaign came as a pleasant surprise. “I love this. People will hate it, but the fact is Cardi is a fashion icon now,” stated Serend1pity.
“Very beautiful and it kinda fits the aesthetic of Balenciaga today. I love Cardi and how vulgar she is,” added Lola701.
