Vogue Italia October 2021 : Chiara Ferragni by Scandebergs

Chiara Ferragni Scores Her First Vogue Italia Cover for October 2021

Now that Emanuele Farneti is officially out at Vogue Italia, we’re hopeful for the magazine’s future. This month there are zero signs of laughable gimmicks or hideous art direction with the unveiling of Francesca Ragazzi’s first issue. For October 2021, Chiara Ferragni becomes the publication’s cover star marking the Italian blogger’s fourth Vogue cover appearance overall. Captured by creative duo Scandebergs and styled by Poppy Kain, Chiara strikes a confident pose in the cover image wearing a glitzy Gucci Fall 2021 look.

“It’s already better than their January through September covers,” praised crmsnsnwflks the moment the cover dropped.

“I really like this cover, it’s a lot better than any of the others this year. I love that Gucci dress and the hair and makeup are gorgeous,” voiced charles01.

“This is her first Vogue Italia cover, right? I’m surprised it took this long,” noted HodanChloe.

“Her cover is definitely well-deserved — Chiara Ferragni is a bona fide celebrity in Italy,” added Serend1pity.

Although clearly not everyone was thrilled. “So basic, so trashy! It’s at the level of a bad Marie Claire cover. Seriously, the art direction is so appalling and the subject matter is so pedestrian. Never understood her appeal to be honest,” ranted Frederic01.

“Despite having to come to the realization that Vogue Italia is a shadow of its former self…I find this incredibly basic and refuse to show praise toward it,” vogue28 pointed out.

“It’s not stellar, but the typography, simplicity and directness are effective enough to work as a cover,” reasoned amby.
