WSJ. Magazine November 2021 : The ‘Innovators’ Issue

Kim Kardashian and Kim Jones Pose for Annemarieke van Drimmelen for WSJ. Magazine’s November 2021 Covers

Kim Kardashian’s last notable moment down at newsstands was on CR Fashion Book‘s Spring 2020 covers. Now WSJ. Magazine gives us our next fix with the unveiling of its latest issue. Throughout 2021, Kristina O’Neill has been the gift that keeps on giving bestowing upon us a slew of sensational covers starring Amanda Gorman, Ashley Graham and models Carolyn Murphy, Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta. The reality star/designer/beauty mogul fronts the publication’s November 2021 edition dedicated to innovators alongside Fendi’s Creative Director Kim Jones. Which makes sense since the pair recently collaborated on a capsule collection. The creative twosome posed for Annemarieke van Drimmelen for the first black and white cover. While Kim K goes solo on the second offering (after the jump).

The covers immediately caught the attention of our forum members. “Nice cover. Would have been better without Kim Jones looming over her in the background though,” commented mepps.

“Kim’s solo cover is really gorgeous. Kim Jones on the other hand? Dude needs to go. Like not just from this cover, but from fashion. Who even is he? He’s had/has some of the biggest jobs in the industry and yet his body of work is so insignificant,” complained dior_couture1245.

“Jones wants to be the next Karl Lagerfeld so bad. How about designing something beautiful and original first,” voiced THD96.

“Stiff, boring and lifeless. Such a waste of Annemarieke van Drimmelen,” mikel pointed out.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t everything that is wrong with fashion,” added a disinterested Horizontina.

“I find the first cover with Kim Jones and Kim Kardashian perfectly fine, but the second with Kim alone showing her side profile is absolutely glorious and blows the rest out of the water. Annemarieke van Drimmelen’s photography is rather perfect here, love the use of black and white!” approved vogue28.

VogueGirl8910 felt the same way: “The second cover is beautiful, is one of Kim’s best photos.”
