Vanity Fair February 2022 : Priyanka Chopra by Emma Summerton

Priyanka Chopra Strikes a Pose on Vanity Fair’s February 2022 Cover

We have a love/hate relationship with Vanity Fair. Over the last eight months, our forum members either loved or loathed covers starring Regina King, Dua Lipa and Issa Rae. Radhika Jones opted to close out 2021 with a bang with Jennifer Lawrence channeling icons of the 60s. Now Priyanka Chopra fronts the publication’s February 2022 cover working a fringed Fendi Fall 2022 dress chosen by stylist Leith Clark as photographer Emma Summerton snaps away.

Despite the magazine’s best efforts, our forum members were far from smitten. “Yikes, that’s quite an unflattering photograph,” said aracic.

“Well they managed to make Priyanka look utterly average. That’s some sort of achievement,” noted A.D.C.

“She looks so flat on the cover and the result is boring,” added an underwhelmed VogueGirl8910.

FashionMuseDior wasn’t sold, either. “The movement of the dress doesn’t match with her pose, it’s quite a disjointed cover.”

“I think I’m going to scream if I see her one more time on a cover combined with a headline about her husband,” voiced [Piece Of Me].

“Isn’t there…anyone more interesting than her to feature?” asked Marc10.

MyNameIs is clearly not a fan: “Why is she famous exactly? I’m not trying to be funny, I honestly have no idea why she gets covers. She’s married to a Jonas brother, is that it?”

“The benchmark Priyanka Chopra cover for me remains U.S. Vogue January 2019 by Annie Leibovitz and I was also quite fond of Priyanka’s digital Allure cover from 2018. This just falls short in comparison and despite the movement of the dress, feels flat and one-dimensional,” vogue28 pointed out.
