US Harper’s Bazaar March 2022 : Venus & Serena Williams by Renell Medrano

Venus and Serena Williams Cover the Annual Legacy Issue of Harper’s Bazaar for March 2022

Since taking over the helm of Harper’s Bazaar back in 2020, Samira Nasr has managed to secure a plethora of A-list talent for the magazine’s front covers. We’ve encountered everyone from Jane Fonda to Gigi Hadid to Beyoncé to Tracee Ellis Ross with Hunter Schafer and Alana Haim greeting us recently. For Bazaar‘s annual legacy issue, the publication picks Venus and Serena Williams as cover stars with Nasr on styling duties for the Renell Medrano-shot March 2022 covers.

Unfortunately, the end result flopped. “I love both Venus and Serena, but this is not good. I miss Glenda Bailey,” declared caioherrero.

“Nothing is working here, the most beautiful thing so far is the bamboo growing behind them on the second cover,” said dontbeadrag.

“Without sounding like a broken record, I am officially done with Samira Nasr’s Harper’s Bazaar. What a depressing state she has the magazine in right now, especially with the covers, which are the main event. Covers lately are just lacking color, glamour and gloss,” critiqued vogue28.

“Sad to see a legendary fashion title destroyed over the last 20 years. You can’t believe it’s the same magazine that Liz Tilberis helped to build,” ivano pointed out.

“Horrific. Speechless. Stuff nightmares are made of. Doubling down on depressing moods and unflattering photography,” added PowerDroid.

“The first cover is just horrible and the second one isn’t much better. Bad angles, awkward expressions, bad lighting and the styling was a choice,” noted a far from impressed mepps.

Meanwhile, jal718 described the covers as “absolutely horrific,” but do you agree?
