Camilla Belle, Evan Rachel Wood, and Zoe Saldana, all showed up at the LACMA Awards wearing basically the same dress. Designed by award sponsor Gucci for Spring 2012, the gold-and-black fringed flapper-style dresses look lovely across the board (but maybe a little less lovely on Evan Rachel Wood).
Dressing the three stars in such similar pieces was an easy way for Gucci to get publicity, but I can’t help thinking this ploy is going to backfire. Not everyone actually wants to wear what everyone else is wearing, particularly when you get into Gucci’s luxury market.
