The Oscar Nominations You Care About

Hey, isn’t it wacky that Best Actors are always listed ahead of Best Actresses in the nomination round-ups, both in the main and supporting categories? When I was a kid, I assumed it was because male Actors were more talented in their craft and more important to a film’s success than their female counterparts. But as a much wiser, older Nika, I can say: sorry, but no.

Anyway, other outlets can do as they please, but here on The Fashion Spot, we should probably prioritize women, which is why I’ve rejiggered the standard categories in my list below. As Nigel Barker said in an interview with us last September, “Where would fashion be without its ladies?”
