The new series will follow Carrie Bradshaw as she establishes her life and career in New York. The producers are going out of their way to keep twentysomething Carrie’s character consistent: stills from filming show the curly-haired gal about town post-shopping trip to designer discount emporium Century 21, carrying a handbag emblazoned with her own name, in the same loopy cursive as her emblematic “Carrie” necklace. Twentysomething Carrie might not have a lot of dough to drop at Barney’s, but she’ll be just as obsessed with fashion (and just as self-involved) as her older counterpart.
