Richard Nicoll’s Unconventional Topshop Bridal Looks

Nicoll explained the genesis of the collection:

“I proposed the idea after my spring/summer 2012 show. I liked the idea of making a modern affordable alternative to meringue culture. The dresses are marketed as bridal but would equally be suitable as bridesmaid or cocktail dresses.”

If you’re not one to stray too far from tradition on your wedding day, these dresses could be great options for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and other pre-wedding events. The capsule collection, called Tie the Knot! is comprised of seven lace and silk full-length and short dresses in white and pink that are notable for their simplicity.

As bridal offerings go, these looks are easy to wear, kind of edgy, and most definitely not traditional. They also lack the monstrously high traditional price tags. The dresses range from £75 to £350.

I’ll take the long one with the sheer bottom in white please. Does anyone have a groom for me to marry?
