LFW’s Sister by Sibling and Michael Van Der Ham to Feature in the Swarovski Collective

The sparkling Swarovski Collective was founded in 1999 in order to support both emerging and established designers to help them broaden their design knowledge by experimenting with the use of crystals. Each year, new designers are chosen from the leading fashion capitals New York, London and Paris, on the basis that they are considered cutting edge talent. The selected designers are then supported financially and loaded with Swarovski crystals as they are given free rein to use the luxurious gems in their innovative designs.

This year, Swarovski has chosen Sister by Sibling and Michael van der Ham from London Fashion Week’s bill, in hand with 10 other Designers from the other featured fashion capitals. This aside, it’s already been a very successful year for both Sister by Sibling and Michael van der Ham, as both have been honoured with leading industry awards and financial support.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost London Fashion Week again and we’re very excited to see how exactly the designers will choose to use the crystals. It will be hard for Sister by Sister to top its creative knitwear from the Fall 2013 collections (above). Either way, we’re guessing we’re probably in for a real treat at their shows in September!
