Proving to all of us that Kate Moss' new title at British Vogue is not just another string on her ridiculously overstrung bow, the model has styled her first fashion shoot in her new role as contributing fashion editor.

Moss is no stranger to being featured in Vogue, having graced the front cover alone 34 times in her modelling history. Yet, this story has shown a whole new side to her, despite the fact that you do not see her in any shot.

Working alongside photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the 40-year-old cast Canadian/Ukranian model Daria Werbowy to star in a grungy story entitled ‘Cause Celibre’ that is out in the latest edition of Vogue, on sale February 6.

Taking inspiration from the rebellious glamour of Seventies psychedelic punk band Devil May Care, Moss clearly has touched on her own image and musical influences as she styles Daria in a range of choppy dark wigs and luxe rock pieces from Lanvin, lame jumpsuits and plunging Saint Laurent mini dresses while she reclines in a convertible car and silk laden bed.

Considering that she has already turned her hand to fashion design, music, singing and charity ambassador, it is hardly a surprise that styling also comes naturally to her, and even more so after over 25 years of wearing the brainchild creations of a plethora of the worlds greatest designers and stylists.

In this month’s editors letter, Alexandra Shulman describes her as "one of the most free spirits of our age," describing how Kate took hold of the story, from "gathering the initial mood board to talking me through the rail of clothes in the Vogue fashion room … Kate took on the complete role of the fashion editor." It sounds like this is only the beginning for Mossy’s new career.
