Popular clothing retailer Macy’s has joined forces with online video network Maker Studios to launch an original new fashion program, The Next Style Star. The series features 16 up-and-coming stylists competing for the chance to win $10,000 (final prize amount – competitions leading up to the finale result in a $5,000 prize for the winning stylist), to serve as a guest stylist on a Macy’s photo shoot, and to see his or her winning outfit featured in the Impulse department at the retailer’s Herald Square location.

Hosted by fashion expert Jeannie Mai, The Next Style Star features an exciting roster of bold-faced names as guest judges throughout the series’ ten episodes, a list that includes reality star/designer Whitney Port and MADE Fashion Week founder Jenne Lombardo.

For each challenge, stylists are asked to create on-trend looks using Macy’s Impulse brands such as Lucky Brand, Maison Jules, Sanctuary, RACHEL Rachel Roy, Guess, Bar III, Joe’s Jeans, Kensie and MADE Fashion Week for Impulse.

The series premiered on April 3. Visit The Platform or Macys.com/StyleStar to learn more about The Next Style Star.
