As an international supermodel, Gisele Bunchen‘s been photographed in many a pastoral scene, but you might have never guessed that those images might be closer to real life than you think. Food and Wine magazine sat down with Bundchen for a little chat, and it turns out the model is super gung-ho about sustainability and doing good for the environment. She told the mag that she raises chickens at her Los Angeles home to be more environmentally friendly.
“I have a beautiful garden in L.A. where I raise chickens. We have very little waste because the chickens eat all of the vegetable scraps, and anything they won’t eat, I put in my compost pile with the chicken poo.”
We can’t picture Gisele actually feeding any chickens, but who knows? Maybe she gets in the yard with a bag of feed…? We wanna see pictures! Either way, we’ve gotta applaud her efforts for diminishing waste–especially in a city like L.A., which is notorious for being pollution city.
