Lover Releases Third Bridal Chic ‘White Magick’ Collection

Lover might have won over Beyoncé with their graphic prints, but it’s their lace they’re known for. Now they’re giving ethereal wanderlusts and to-be bridal parties another reason to look forward to summer with part three of the ‘White Magick’ capsule collection.

‘White Magick’ sees designers Nic Briand and Susien Chong dipping into their archives to reincarnate some of their most coveted dresses from the last decade in all-white and ivory. “White Magick is a selection of our most timeless styles. The delicate femininity of these pieces embodies the spirit of Lover,” said Chong. They might be timeless, but they’re also distinctly modern. Knee-length styles feature flared sleeves that partly resemble Victorian pantaloons, of which Ellery would strongly approve. Structured bodices and subtle mullet hems are also more city sleek than prairie chic.

This collection also seems to be more matrimonial than the ones released in the two previous years. That could just be because we’ve got bells on the brain, but they’re also the perfect antidote to the #worldsmosttalkedaboutwedding. These are gowns for girls who prefer to kick off their shoes at the reception rather than discuss Pilates with momager.

The collection was launched at Lover’s Strande Arcade store in Sydney yesterday, and judging by how fast the previous two sold out, you should probably get in quick to avoid nasty eBay bidding wars.
