“I just so happen to have a group of friends who are all working successful models,” says fashion stylist, Sasha Benz. And after living a fabulous life surrounded by beautiful models for years, she’s decided to launch a website, All My Friends Are Models, which is wholly dedicated to the sometimes stereotyped souls.
She’s got an impressive support network on her side, including the likes of Catherine McNeil, Cheyenne Tozzi, Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Lara Bingle to name a few. Seriously, all the hottest Australian models you can think of can be found on this website and are helping break model stereotypes one elongated pose at a time.
Aiming to “bring forward the issues surrounding the life of being a model” and to teach readers “not to feel intimidated by their lives, or the false ideas that surround them,” the website currently touches on a whole lot of industry beef. Think personal stories straight from the models themselves, the pressures of modelling nude and of course, controversial topics like the appropriate age to join the cut-throat industry and weight expectations.
