Evans Showcases Its First Design Collective During London Fashion Week Spring 2015

It’s not every day that you receive an invite from Sir Philip Green asking you to view a collection during London Fashion Week. So, when a shiny iridescent pink invite landed in our post box asking us to view the new Design Collective for Evans, how could we resist?

It’s the first time that the plus-size retailer has showcased during LFW and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The show featured full outfits from the main collections of Clements Ribeiro, Giles Deacon, Hema Kaul, Jamie Wei Huang, Lulu Liu and Vita Gottlieb that have all been reworked to fit a fuller figure. If that wasn’t exciting enough, we also got the opportunity to see the designs by Yvonne Shu Yao, the winner of the third Cut for Evans contest as well as several pieces exclusively created by Evans’ own in-house design team. Evans’ own designs were inspired by light and reflection with the aim of being able to easily layer up or down.

It’s the first time that a brand has ever showcased in this way during Fashion Week, and it’s a clear message that fashion is for everybody. Evans’ clothing is available in sizes 14 to 32, and the collective will be available in selected flagship locations and online in April 2015.
