The Screen Actors Guild has released its nominees for the 21st annual awards show, which is set to air at the end of next month. It’s been an amazing year in movies and TV, and this list of top-notch actors, actresses, films and TV shows definitely proves it. Eva Longoria and Ansel Elgort were on hand to announce this year’s nominees.
Benedict Cumberbatch, Steve Carell, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne all got the nod for best actor. For the ladies, Jennifer Aniston, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon will duke it out for best actress. Either The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Theory of Everything, Boyhood, Birdman or The Imitation Game could take home the biggest win of the night for best picture.
As for the small screen set, Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards, Downton Abbey and Boardwalk Empire are all up for the best ensemble in a drama series award, while Orange Is the New Black, Veep, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory could take home the prize for best ensemble in a comedy.
