Nicole Kidman might be an award-winning actress, but her neighbouring skills may not be as commendable. Page Six reports that the celebrity is being sued for allegedly causing over $46,000 USD in damages to the apartment below her $13 million USD Chelsea duplex, after pipes burst on her terrace and flooded fellow tenant Leonard Steinberg’s home-sweet-home.
The suit says that although Nicole had copper piping installed on her balconies at 200 11th Ave., the contractor mustn’t have insulated the work, and Nicole didn’t drain the water before winter. This apparently caused the pipes to freeze and explode, and that’s what allegedly caused the flooding in Steinberg’s building.
Steinberg is a real estate broker, and is using his insurance broker, Nationwide, to sue on his behalf. We hope he and Nicole can laugh about this over a friendly cuppa when the time’s right.
