Stand-Up Ladies Come Out for Instyle’s Women Of Style Nomination Event

InStyle Australia, together with Audi and Moët & Chandon, celebrated its 2015 Women of Style awards nominees cocktail party at Sydney CBD’s Georg Jensen last night, March 3. The theme for this year’s awards is the driving force of women, and the attendees’ sophisticated, polished and feminine outfits couldn’t have reflected the concept any better.

Scroll through below to see our favourite looks from the night, plus see the full list of nominees across the eight categories including arts and culture, beauty, business, charity and community, entertainment, environment, fashion and lifestyle. Winners will be announced in May.

Romance Was Born’s Anna Plunkett stepped out in a modest red-and-black patterned midi dress, but added her own personal touch with chunky black ankle boots and a chained clutch.

Stylerunner co-founder Julie Stevanja was the epitome of business-chic in a Camilla and Marc Autumn 2015 midi skirt ($590), a white spaghetti-strap cami and strappy pumps. We’re giving this look five stars.

Alyssa McClelland amped up the elegance in this divine Maticevski frock, and gave us a taste of modernised Hepburn with red lips, an up-do, ladylike two-strap pumps and dangly earrings.

Television presenter Melissa Doyle kept it simple in a black Carl Kapp midi dress teamed with nude accessories, like a large-rectangle clutch and pointed-toe heels.
