IMG Announces New NYFW Locations

New York Fashion Week is moving from its home in Lincoln Center and we finally have the details on where the fashion set will flock once September rolls around. IMG had confirmed two locations for New York Fashion Week, one in Midtown, the Skylight Moynihan Station at 33rd St. and the Skylight Clarkson Sq. at 550 Washington Street in SoHo.

It doesn’t come as much of a shock that these spaces would be announced as NYFW’s new home. New York Fashion Week: Men’s will be holding their shows this July in the Clarkson Sq. location, and designers have already used both spaces for shows in the past. IMG has signed a deal with the venues that span a few years, though we don’t know how long these new spots will serve as Fashion Week’s home.

New York Fashion Week is eventually supposed to move to the Culture Shed, a new space being built in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. Construction on the new site seems to be a bit delayed – it was expected to be finished by 2017, but some say it will take two more years than that to complete.
