ANTM’s Alex Sinadinovic Wants to Follow Guess Girl Simone Holtznagel’s Lead

Who could forget Alex Sinadinovic? Not only was it almost impossible for her to take a bad photo on Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 9, but she was also arguably the most entertaining girl, leaving us with many memorable moments while she was vying for the title.

Although there’s a whole bunch of impressive ANTM alumni for her to look up to, Alex reveals to theFashionSpot that she has her fingers crossed for a career like fellow Wollongong girl Simone Holtznagel. “If I follow her footsteps I’ll be on the right track,” she says.

As you’ll recall, just like Alex, Simone narrowly missed out on taking out the title of ANTM Cycle 7, a series which Montana Cox would eventually go on to win.

Fast forward to 2014 and Simone was “discovered” by Guess’ Paul Marciano when he saw her photo on Instagram, and the model went to on to represent the designer in campaigns, videos and billboards around the globe as a coveted “Guess Girl”.

Alex, like many others, couldn’t believe Simone’s luck being plucked from obscurity and thrust into the spotlight via the popular photosharing app. She quips, “I swear every time someone tells me Instagram’s not important I’m going to be like, um, well, hear this story! Now a girl can buy a house in LA because of Instagram, so don’t tell me it’s not important.”

Not only does Alex admire Simone’s career trajectory but she is a huge fan of Guess and their ethical approach to casting models. She tells us, “Guess is so cool because they don’t give a shit if you’re not really skinny, they’re so health over size.” The 19-year-old aspiring model gushes, “Guess is just beautiful and if I could follow in Simone’s footsteps I’d be a very happy girl.”

Alex definitely has the posing and walking skills to go as far, if not further, than Simone, not to mention oodles of personality which we are now missing from our television screens each week. Also, a general reminder to us all, keep your Instagram on fleek because you never know who could be double tapping.
