Barneys and the CFDA Created the Perfect Fall Collection for New Yorkers

Barneys is teaming up with the CFDA for a Made in New York collaboration that will stir the soul of any stylish New Yorker. The retailer has gotten together with a selection of brands including Altuzarra, Narciso Rodriguez, Proenza Schouler, The Row, R13, Rag & Bone and Thom Browne to help support the local manufacturing industry.

To celebrate the partnership, Barneys will unveil a set of windows dedicated to the collection, which will be on display starting August 28 through New York Fashion Week. Of course, this collaboration is not just a moneymaking ploy from the already rich – it’s an opportunity to do something good. 10% of the proceeds from the collection will go to the CFDA and its Fashion Manufacturing Initiative in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

In true New York spirit, the collection (for men and women) is done in shades of black, white, gray and for a pop of color, red. On tap you’ll find pieces like a dope zipper-slit sweatshirt dress that reads “New York City” across the front, a white belted trench coat with black piping, a lovely, delicate black lace dress and just about everything a New Yorker would need in their wardrobe this fall.

Prices for the collection range from $95 to $4,800. Head over to Barneys to shop the collection, which is already available on the website.
