Praise the social media gods – Instagram has just made it easier for you to post your photos in whatever format you damn well please. After years of having to decide which parts of your photo you would most like cut off in order to accommodate the app’s mandatory square photo format, Instagram is finally throwing us a bone.

The social media outlet announced that it is adding the option to upload portrait AND landscape photos a well as videos when you click the formatting icon. “Once you share the photo, the full-sized version of it will appear to all of your followers in feed in a beautiful, natural way,” it said on the blog. “To keep the clean feel of your profile grid, your post will appear there as a center-cropped square.”

So folks, take all the wide-angle usies you want because (finally!) you won’t have to worry about it all fitting once it gets to your Instagram feed. And most importantly, Kylie Jenner’s eye will not be cut off from another Kardashian-Jenner sister selfie. Thank goodness for long-awaited updates.
