The Bachelor Sam Wood Spills On His Relationship With Heather Maltman Post-Show

Our hearts shattered into a million pieces watching H-Bomb say buh-bye to Bachman on last night’s episode of The Bachelor, but that might not have been the end of their relationship.

Speaking to news.com.au, Sam Wood said he would like to check in and see how his white-rose receiver, Heather Maltman, is doing since he sent her packing, admitting that he hasn’t spoken to her since her dropped the F-bomb on her one last time. Friendship

Seeing as that word, as well as “stupidly good mates” was said more often than “journey” and “connection”, it seems only natural that Sam and Heather would make a go of calling each other “dude” and “man” in a situation where those words are deemed appropriate.

One thing kind of stands in the way, though, and that’s the woman who receives Sam’s final rose. The chosen one, if you will. “I would obviously never do anything to jeopardise my relationship,” Sam explained.

“But if all of us were friends and it was all amicable then I would love to sit down with Heather and make sure she’s okay and see what she’s up to now.”

Oh, and in case you were wondering if, or hoping, he had any regrets, he’s made it quite clear that’s not the case. Although he revealed that it was “horrible” to relive the experience of last night’s episode, he still stands by his decision.

“I don’t feel like I’ve done anything wrong,” he said. “I followed my heart the whole way through and the decisions I’ve made were absolutely the right decisions. My decision [to send Heather home] was one of those occasions where it was really a no win for anyone, but it had to be done.”

Meanwhile, the hashtag #HeatherForBachelorette has kicked off.
